The value of pieces
is always referring to their value in the normal situation .
Chariot ,Horse ,Cannon
These pieces are the main pieces used
for attacking .They are considered as 'Strong Pieces' .
Assistance ,Elephant
These pieces cannot move across the river
.They are used to defend purpose .So ,they are considered as 'Weak Pieces'
.
Pawn
Before crossing the river ,they are the
weakest .After crossing the river ,their value change according to their
positions .In general ,they are considered among 'Strong Pieces' and 'Weak
Pieces' .
King
They are the pieces with highest positions
.They are also the attacked target .Their value will not be considered
since they don't have relationship with the others .
In general ,

one chariot has little advance than two horses
,two cannons or horse cannon .

one horse equals to one cannon .Two horses
equal to two cannons or horse cannon .(However ,I think horse cannon have
little advance than two horses or two cannons since the combination of
two different pieces is always more powerful than the combination of the
similar pieces)
-
chariot ,horse ,cannon equal to chariot ,two
horses or chariot ,two cannons .(However ,I think chariot ,horse ,cannon
have little advance than other two since the combination of the different
pieces is always more powerful than the combination of the similar pieces)

one horse or one cannon equals to two assistances
or two elephants and vice versa .
This is only for general situation .In special
case ,each piece's value is totally different .
